Task Forces
The establishment of Task Forces dealing with specific subjects was deemed to be most appropriate.
To improve the efficiency of the eicar task forces and to co-ordinate the information flow, the position of a Task Force Co-ordinator was established in the board.
Task Force activity reports are published either in the regular " news", or are sent on request directly to members, or are published on this site. The actual means for publication is at the discretion of the respective chairperson.
The results of the Task Forces are essential for and the exchange with organisations of the same sphere of interest is worth striving for. So, co-operation with organisations like FIRST, LATHE GAMBIT and others add positively to our own results.
New Task Forces can be launched. However, this requires approval by the Scientific Advisory Board.
It is not required to be an EICAR member to work in a Task Force !
The current task forces are titled
- Working Group 2 on Anti-Virus Practises
- Task Force on RFID
- Task Force on European Cyber Crime Initiative
- Task Force on Wireless LAN Security
- Task Force on Biometrics
- Task Force on AWARENESS
- Task Force on Content Security
